You're welcome (and encouraged!) to connect multiple trackers to your Active For Good Account. When you do, We avoid duplicate data but give you the benefit of the doubt where needed. For example, if you have two trackers reporting steps on the same date, your points will be based on the higher-reporting tracker. This way you don't have to worry about double entry mistakes, and still get to use whichever tracker you like!
Sometimes an example makes this easier to visualize:
Let's say that on Monday you are wearing your Garmin Watch and also have your phone on you. You go for a walk at lunch, and then after work, go for a run too, but leave your phone at home. At the end of the day your Garmin account says you took 20,000 steps today, and Google Fit says you took 10,000 (because your phone wasn't with you during the run). Both sets of data will get synced to Active For Good, but rather than getting Good Points for 30,000 steps, which would be double counting 10,000 of the steps, the Active For Good app applies your activity from Garmin for the day, and you get Good Points for 20,000 steps.
Let's say on Tuesday you have the same routine, but forgot to put your Garmin watch on in the morning. Now at the end of the day Garmin says you have 0 steps, Google Fit says you have 10,000, but you're not getting credit for your run. Easy fix! You'll automatically get Good Points for the 10K steps from Google Fit, and you can manually enter your run in the Active For Good App and receive Good Points for that effort as well!
